Tragic Loss of Abayomi Adeleye
With heavy hearts, we come together to remember and mourn the untimely passing of Abayomi Adeleye. On August 29, 2023, a fatal incident occurred that took away a life too soon. Abayomi was the operator of a vehicle that tragically caught fire and resulted in a devastating explosion at the Northwest Regional Park on Deer Park Rd.
Despite the prompt response of the Baltimore County Police Department and emergency services, Abayomi Adeleye, aged 46, could not be saved and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger in the vehicle was fortunate to survive with non-life-threatening injuries and is receiving medical attention.
The circumstances surrounding this tragic incident are under investigation by the dedicated detectives of the Baltimore County Fire & Explosion Investigation Team. As we collectively grieve this loss, we extend our thoughts and condolences to Abayomi’s family and friends during this difficult time.
We await the findings of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to better understand the cause of Abayomi Adeleye’s passing. In the face of such a sudden and unexpected loss, let us remember Abayomi and honor his memory by coming together as a community and offering our support to those who loved him.
