Alan Hopgood, an Australian actor best known for his roles in the TV programs Prisoner and Neighbours, died at the age of 87.
He wrote the play And the Big Men Fly, which was made into a film and television series, in addition to his playing career.
Hopgood is most remembered for his roles as Wally Wallace in the prison drama Prisoner and Dr. Reed in the rural soap opera Bellbird.
