On Wednesday in York County, a head-on collision claimed the lives of Andrew Smucker And Benuel Smucker who are from Lancaster County.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the collision occurred as Andrew Smucker, 43, and Benuel Smucker, 77, were traveling south on Delta Road in Lower Chanceford Township.
According to state police, a 20-year-old woman driving northbound lost control of her car and veered into the southbound lanes, colliding head-on with the Smuckers’ vehicle near the intersection with Bridgeton Road.
Route 372, which carries traffic across the Susquehanna River and into Martic Township in Lancaster County, is just over two miles away from the intersection.
State police said that Andrew and Benuel Smucker, who were both wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision, passed away there.
According to a press release from the York County Coroner’s office, both men will undergo autopsies later this week.
