Anna Paquin was born on July 24, 1982 in Winnipeg, Canada. Her family moved to New Zealand when she was four. It was there that she played Flora McGrath in The Piano, for which she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the age of 11.
She later appeared in several successful films, including Fly Away Home, Almost Famous, She’s All That and the X-Men franchise.
She is also well-known for her role as Sookie Stackhouse in HBO’s True Blood, for which she won a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series.
