Deputies from the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office are looking into a Tuesday incident in which one man was shot and killed by a car and another man was shot.
Several people were involved in an incident in the road in the 1900 block of Blue Creek Road at 7:45 p.m., according to Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Joshua Ray. One of the participants was reportedly driven over by a car that fled the scene.
He claimed that when the deputies arrived, they discovered several persons present as well as a man who was lying in the road.
The injured man was brought to San Antonio Military Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, where he eventually passed away, according to Ray. The deceased was later identified as Christopher Ward.
The driver of the vehicle that fled the scene later presented himself with a gunshot wound at Mission Trails Baptist Hospital in San Antonio,” he said.
According to Ray, the driver, whose identity has not yet been made public, has non-life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition.
