He started practicing music when he was only eleven years old. At the age of twelve, the singer started studying music at the ‘School of Rock’ in Dallas as well as the one in Fresco, Texas. Here he formed a garage band named, ‘Fly Away Hero’, with his friends.He had to break up ‘Fly Away Hero’ when he participated in an American boy band talent search. He submitted an audition video at a local Dallas mall and got selected as one of the original members of the pop boy band ‘IM5’. The band made their debut in 2011. Some of the most popular songs featuring Dalton were ‘Everything About U’, ‘Disney Dudez’, and ‘Zero Gravity’.
