In addition to proving excellent clinical care, Dr. Trindade is passionate about advancing the field in Barrett’s esophagus. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. His main research is involved in advanced endoscopic imaging in Barrett’s esophagus. In addition he performs research related to ablation and new diagnostic tools in Barrett’s esophagus. Please see the research tab for more information on past and present trials.
In addition to Barrett’s esophagus related procedures, Dr. Trindade performs other interventional GI procedures such as ERCP, EUS, large colon polyp removal (endoscopic mucosal resection), deep balloon enteroscopy, etc.
Finally, Dr. Trindade is active in the GI community. He is an active member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and is part of the Technology Committee for 2016-2019. He is also a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and American Gastroenterological Association. Locally he is an active member of the New Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and was recently faculty at the regional NYSGE course.
