I intend to pursue a career in academic medicine as a medical oncologist. I am passionate about health equity advocacy and research. I will graduate in summer 2023 and I am open to opportunities in almost any location in the United States, Canada, or Europe.

I trained in the MSTP (MD/PhD) at the McGovern Medical School and UT Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences between 2009-2018. After graduating, I moved to northern Ohio for my first two years of internal medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic. I completed my third year of medical residency at UC San Diego. I finished residency in June 2020 and I am now Board Certified in internal medicine. I am a first year medical oncology/hematology fellow at Scripps Health. I hope to use my protected time in my second and third years of fellowship to complete a community-based research project to improve skin cancer prevention, screening, and care for migrant farm workers in Southern California.
