Dr. Ira Papel, MD – Baltimore, MD

Dr. Papel is a Professor at Johns Hopkins. He is actively involved in surgical training of medical students, residents, and fellows. He serves as co-director of the Facial Plastic Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Papel has been invited to serve as a Visiting Professor at more than 35 universities in the U.S., Europe, Asia, Mexico and South America. His textbook, Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, now in the 4th edition, has become a standard text for surgeons throughout the world.

Dr. Papel is a Past President of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and past President of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also a Director of the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Dr. Papel has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” locally by Baltimore Magazine, and nationally be U.S. News and World Report.
