I attended college at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and received my MD from Tufts University School of Medicine. After school, I completed my general surgery residency at Emory University Hospitals in Atlanta, followed by a colorectal surgery fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida. I have been in practice in Los Angeles, joining California Colorectal Surgeons in 2005. I am board certified in both general surgery and colorectal surgery.

I served as Clinical Chief for the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery from 2009 to 2011 at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. I have a strong interest in minimally invasive surgery with specific areas of interest which including robotic-assisted colorectal surgeries, natural orifice surgery using the TAMIS platform, and novel therapies for the treatment of fecal incontinence.
