Dr. Niki Carayannopoulos is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in trauma/acute injury and reconstructive surgery in the pediatric and adult population. She also has over a decade of experience with minimally invasive surgery including arthroscopy of the upper and lower extremity and endoscopic carpal tunnel release surgery. Her knowledge and expertise led to her selection (through a peer-reviewed process) as a prestigious AO Trauma faculty that helps teach residents and practicing orthopedic surgeons about state-of-the-art surgical techniques both nationally and internationally. In addition to her technical and educational expertise as a physician, Dr. Carayannopoulos is a published researcher with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and has given many regional and national presentations. She also has participated in research funded by the Department of Defense addressing the management/treatment of long bone defects.
