On Wednesday, April 26, a Harahan lady was taken into jail on suspicion of the horrific murder of a 6-year-old girl, whose body was found stuffed into a plastic bucket and dumped on the front lawn of her biological mother.

The tragic discovery was reported around 8:20 a.m., and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and Harahan Police immediately began a frantic hunt for Hannah Landon, 43. Landon was identified as the young girl’s father’s girlfriend. Landon also goes by the names Bunnak Lim and Bunnak Landon.

Landon was discovered and taken into custody at a nearby hospital at 2:00, according to Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joe Lopinto.

Bella Fontenelle, a kindergartener at River Ridge’s St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic School, was named as the victim. According to Jefferson Parish Coroner Dr. Gerry Cvitanovich, an examination revealed that the girl had been killed, and the body had “multiple injuries” that will be described in more detail at a later time.
