Jacqueline R. Walorski was an American politician who served as the 2nd congressional district’s representative in Indiana from 2013 until her death in 2022.
She was a Republican member of the Indiana House of Representatives from 2005 to 2010, representing Indiana’s 21st district. Walorski won the Republican nomination for Indiana’s 2nd congressional district in 2010 but lost to Democratic incumbent Joe Donnelly in the general election
She was 58 years old at the time.

Jackie Walorski cause of death
Walorski, who had served in Indiana’s 2nd Congressional District since 2013, was killed in an automobile accident in Nappanee, Indiana.
According to the Elhart County Sheriff’s Office, a northbound passenger automobile drove left of center and struck head-on” with Walorski’s vehicle.
Walorski District Director Zachery Potts, 27, and Walorski Communications Director Emma Thomson, 28, were also pronounced dead in the automobile at the time.
Edith Schmucker, 56, was identified as the driver of the second car and was pronounced deceased at the site.
Walorski’s passing has had an impact on colleagues, including Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who tweeted, “I’m stunned and saddened to learn about Congresswoman Jackie Walorski’s unfortunate demise.”
