According to a news release from the police, two males were detained in relation to a fatal shooting that happened in Florence on Thursday night.
At around 1:40 pm on Friday, police in Darlington made an arrest and charged Joseph Jace Walker Ford with murder. The Florence County Detention Center was where he was taken.

Around 6:00 p.m. on Friday night in Darlington, police also detained Jonathan Edward McPhail Jr. in addition to Ford. He was brought to the Florence County Detention Center after being charged with homicide and having a weapon while committing a violent felony.
According to Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken, JaQuincy Byrd, 17, was shot and murdered on Tallulah Street in Florence.
