Jason Tucker, a veteran fireman and EMT who had been battling brain cancer, passed away, and he was mourned by Pasco County Fire Rescue.
Tucker lost his fight with cancer on Sunday while being cared for by his adoring family, PCFR reported on Monday.
In a statement, PCFR said, “It is with sorrowful hearts that we relay the news of the demise of former Firefighter/EMT Jason Tucker. “Jason lost his fight with brain cancer yesterday, Sunday, April 23, 2023, forcing him to resign. He died away quietly in the company of his devoted family.

Firefighter Tucker, according to Pasco County Fire Rescue, “touched many lives through his work at Pasco County Fire Rescue, and all who knew him will deeply miss his presence.” His involvement with the Special Operations Team and Decon programs, the organization continued, demonstrated his “true passion for helping others.”
According to the fire department, they have spoken with Tucker’s family and are requesting that everyone respect their right to privacy at this time. PCFR will keep the neighborhood informed as further details about the funeral arrangements for Firefighter Jason Tucker become available.
