A semi-tractor-trailer crash that stopped southbound Interstate 75 in Lockland for just over six hours overnight claimed the life of a 21-year-old woman.

She was identified as Juelle Walker, a resident of Carthage, by the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office.

Around 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Walker was declared deceased at the scene of the two-vehicle collision past the Shepherd Lane exit.

According to Hamilton County dispatchers, the truck’s driver, who contacted 911 to report the collision, the sedan rear-ended the semi.

Coroner’s officials had earlier on Wednesday confirmed to news reporters that the deceased woman was in the vehicle.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a second individual was injured and taken to a hospital.

The person’s injuries were not described in greater depth.
