A 34-year-old Park City woman died on Friday after hiking accidently tumbling over a mountain.
According to the Unified Police Department, the incident involving the woman, Kaitly Brann, and her hiking companion took place on Friday shortly after 6 o’clock in the Storm Mountain region of Big Cottonwood Canyon.
According to authorities, Brann passed away at the spot while the other hiker was evacuated to the hospital where he was treated and given a good chance of survival.
Rocks and other debris may shift readily on the ground as a result of the big snowpack melting quickly.
