A kayak that belonged to Evan Alexander Zeller who went missing in early November and was thought to have capsized on Lake Erie has been discovered in Ontario, Canada.
His kayak was discovered, according to a representative for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources on Saturday, but she was unable to provide any other details.

The kayaker was identified as Sheffield Lake resident Evan Alexander Zeller, 30, by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office last month.
The man’s kayak is thought to have capsized due to weather, the U.S. Coast Guard reported last month. On Saturday, November 5, he paddled with two additional kayaks, all family members, and they both made it back to shore in Sheffield Lake.
The next day, according to FOX 8, authorities started combing the waterways. Apparently, Zeller was donning a life jacket.
A graduate of Findlay High School and the University of Toledo, Zeller had a wife and a daughter who was “the apple of his eye,” according to the man’s obituary, which was published Dec. 3 in the Findlay Courier. “Grandma” of Grandpa’s Cheesebarn passes away 2 days after her husband. He was employed by the cannabis sector and had aspirations to run his own farm since “he had a green thumb and loved plants,” according to the statement.
On Saturday, December 17, there will be a memorial ceremony in Findlay.
