Konnor Loomis had another surgery on Friday, but he had trouble keeping his blood pressure stable.

It was decided to fly him to Rochester, Minnesota’s Mayo Clinic for more sophisticated treatment.

I left Eau Claire with Jill, Tyler, Tanner, Kaitlin, and Tanner. I immediately departed for Rochester, a 2-1/2-hour trip away, with Jill and Kaitlin.

When we got there, we discovered that there were too many difficulties for Konnor to survive. I promptly dialed Tyler and wept and talked. Around midnight, Tanner came (with the aid of our amazing friend Sara). While the medical staff set up for a CT scan in the hopes of finding something helpful, the four of us spent some time talking to Konnor. We realized it was time to let Konnor go so he could relax at 1:30 in the morning.

As Konnor died away just after two in the morning, we gathered around him in love and prayer, said our final goodbyes, and gave him to God. Our family, friends, and numerous strangers have encircled us with love and support throughout the last week. I’m grateful. I’m grateful. We appreciate everyone’s assistance in getting us through this trying period. Although we are broken and devastated, we are resilient and securely hanging onto one another.

Give your family a hearty embrace and let them know how much you love them. Please keep giving blood to support other families who have loved ones in need. If you know Konnor, kindly share your most treasured memories with us. We treasure a lot of great memories from him because he was full of love for everyone. He will always be a part of our hearts. I’m sending you hugs and love, Tyler!

My condolences for your loss! You and your family are in my prayers and thoughts. Tyler, please know that I am here for you and am sending you and your family prayers and hugs through this unbearable time if there is anything I can do to help.

Your brother will be on your side always. We are terribly grieved to learn about Tyler’s awful passing. I’m sending you and your family my love and comforting prayers. We adore you. Tyler, I’m so sorry for your loss. I will rememb
