In connection with the shooting deaths of two women inside a Hoover apartment, a 21-year-old Alabaster man is accused of capital murder.

David Elliott Blakeley Meachelle Nelson, 24, and Lauren Anne White, 39, were both killed; Keith is accused of their murders. Police claim that Keith knew the victims, but no apparent motive has been given.

Just before 8 a.m. on Saturday, someone called Hoover 911 to report finding two persons inside an apartment at The Park at Hoover who may have died. The women were found to be unresponsive when police arrived.

At 8:11 a.m., White and Nelson, who both resided in the complex, were declared dead. They had both been shot.

According to Lt. Daniel Lowe, investigators were able to identify Keith as a suspect right away. Why they found Keith is a mystery to the authorities.

Keith was apprehended by detectives in the 9300 block of Highway 119 near Alabaster.

On Saturday, about 3:30 p.m., the arrest was made.

Keith will be driven to the Jefferson County Jail and lodged there without posting bond.

According to court documents, Keith admitted guilt to third-degree robbery in 2021. In June 2022, his probation was revoked after a judge discovered that he had removed his electronic monitoring device.

Keith was detained in the Jefferson County Jail until August 31 after being booked on the revocation charge on August 8.
