The mother of the missing woman claimed that her daughter’s remains had been discovered in a post dated May 4, 2023. She expressed her gratitude to everyone who had helped find her daughter.

Nefataree Bartell, age 26, was last seen in Missoula, Montana, on February 21, 2023. She had her third child at the time and was seven months pregnant.

Charlene Bartell said that Nefataree and her youngest son were residing in an apartment in Missoula. The eldest child of Nefataree resides permanently with his father.

According to Charlene, she spoke with her daughter for the final time on February 15. She claimed that they talked about Nefataree’s intentions to live with her in Condon, Montana, which is roughly an hour’s drive from Missoula. Charlene remembered that she was ecstatic.

But then, on March 9, Charlene got a worrying call from Missoula Police Department Detective Jeff Lloyd. According to her, the investigator informed her that Nefataree’s friend had reported her missing. “[The friend] hadn’t heard from my daughter in about a month,” said Charlene.

Since February 20, Nefataree’s youngest child, who resides with Charlene, allegedly has been staying with his paternal grandmother; Charlene also claimed not to have heard from Nefataree. The grandmother “was concerned about that,” Charlene remarked. It’s been that long since Nefataree last spoke to her youngest son.

Charlene claimed to have examined her daughter’s apartment and was even more alarmed by what she discovered. She said, “To leave her wallet, phone, keys, and Apple Watch is definitely not like her.”

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the deceased’s family and friends, who have been struggling with the loss of such an intelligent and compassionate individual.
