Two Indiana University students who vanished on a lake on April 15 have had their remains discovered.
Near Bloomington, Indiana, on Monroe Lake, Siddhant Shah, 19, and Aryan Vaidya, 20, were boating with friends on a pontoon.

Shah and Vaidya submerged beneath the water without coming to the surface when the companions let go of the anchor to go swimming.
Friends made fruitless attempts to retrieve them.
Beginning late on Saturday, April 15, rescue teams searched the region using sonar and scuba divers. They resumed their search on Sunday and Monday.
The teams’ struggles with the strong wind and waves hindered the search.
On Tuesday, April 18, at 11:23 a.m., the workers finally located the two in 18 feet of water close to the Paynetown Marina.
On Saturday, Indiana University Student Services helped with the transportation of the friends’ group back to campus and is now offering counseling.
