The WLOX-TV news station reported that in D’IBERVILLE, Mississippi. An investigation has led to the identification of the victim of the early Wednesday morning shooting in the Scarlet Pearl parking lot, and police are currently looking for the suspect’s vehicle.

Police in D’Iberville are asking the public to keep an eye out for a dark blue Nissan Altima, possibly an older model with two doors. The vehicle lacks a rear bumper and sports a phony Alabama license plate (2CW6059). Please contact authorities immediately if you have seen this vehicle. It was around 2 a.m. when D’Iberville police arrived at the parking lot following reports of gunfire. According to Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer, 36-year-old Nicholaus Craig was discovered dead in his vehicle.

According to the coroner, Craig now resides in California but is from Mobile. Switzer found out that Craig was going back to visit his mother and celebrate his birthday on September 20th, which was yesterday. According to Craig’s mother, he and his girlfriend stayed at the Scarlet Pearl in Biloxi before making the trip to Mobile. He celebrated turning 36 here.

Craig and his date went to dinner at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Tuesday night before returning to the Scarlet Pearl. Craig’s gf said that the parking lot was full when they got back, so they had to park in the far back.

She claims that Craig had trouble sleeping later that night (around 2 a.m.) due to his recent back surgery and went down to his car. They were discussing going for a ride, she says. He was sitting in his car when someone opened fire, taking his life.

One bullet was all it took to end his life. This Thursday, an autopsy will be performed.
