Nicola Materazzi, an Italian mechanical engineer best known for developing several sports and racing cars, including the Ferrari 288 GTO, Ferrari F40, Bugatti EB110, and B Engineering Edonis has died.
He passed away on 24 August 2022 at age 83.
After a career spanning over four decades in the automobile engineering industry, Materazzi did acquire substantive wealth and at the time of death, his estimated net worth was $8 million.
During his illustrious career in the Italian automobile industry he worked with or was the successor to a number of notable engineers such as;

Materazzi was one of Italy’s leading turbocharging specialists from the mid 1970s, a respected sports car and motorcycle engineer and prior to his death, was sometimes referred to as “Mr F40” or the “father of the F40.”
