Mr. Charles Mensah and Madam Elsie gave birth to Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. on October 17, 1984 in Accra, Ghana. Shatta began his musical career in junior high school. After graduating from high school, he changed his name to Bandana and has since risen to popularity in the music industry. He’s even visited Jamaica to study dancehall music.

Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. was born on October 17, 1984, at the Police Hospital in Accra, Ghana.

Shatta Wale attended the Seven Great Princes Academy in Dansoman, where he showed an interest in the arts and acted in the popular drama series, By the Fireside, at the National Theatre of Ghana.

He began his high school education at Winneba Secondary School, where he discovered his love for music. He, however, did not complete his studies at Winneba Secondary School and instead enrolled and completed his studies at a different school in the Volta Region.
