After discovering the corpses of a 36-year-old Houma man and an adult female in a hotel room in the 1800 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard, Terrebonne Parish deputies and detectives are looking into what they believe to be a murder-suicide.
When deputies arrived around noon on Wednesday, they discovered that both had been wounded and had already passed away. According to a press release, they found that the man looked to have self-inflicted injuries, and they believe he was the shooter.
The event is being investigated, and more details will be made public later, according to the release.
