Car crash involving Tara Dortch Atmore: The deceased driver in a deadly car accident that occurred in Escambia County on Sunday night has been identified as Tara Dortch Nelson of Atmore, Alabama.
In Atmore on Sunday night, a single-vehicle collision claimed the life of Nelson, 46.
According to sources, Nelson was driving a car on Booneville Road in Atmore on Sunday night when, for an unknown cause, the car left the road. The car then flipped over after colliding with a tree.
Nelson was hurt in the accident and died as a result of blunt force trauma.
The accident’s cause is still being looked into.
