From Ridgeland, Mississippi, Heather Aby was a respected legal professional. She ran Aby Law, PLLC, and she also owned the highly successful Black Sox of the semi-professional baseball league. She graduated with her degree from Southern Mississippi University.
According to the National Semi-Pro Baseball Hall of Fame, Heather was the first woman to play semi-professional baseball in the state of Mississippi. For 2017, she was a Hall of Fame nominee. Heather was a local resident of the Greater Jackson area.
Heather worked as the Madison County Public Defender before opening her own practice. Before that, she ran a law firm with a number of friends.
Heather Aby passed away on Monday, March 6. On Monday, she took her own life at Old Trace Park. Her identity was not released right away, but law enforcement agencies rushed to the scene.
It was initially reported that a local lawyer had committed suicide, but it was later discovered that the deceased was Ridgeland, Mississippi-based attorney Heather Aby, of Aby Law, PLLC. The news of the tragic event was then shared with her loved ones.

The Aby family has our deepest condolences.

At this time, Heather Aby’s apparent suicide for reasons unknown. The case is currently being investigated by the Ridgeland police department. We will revise this article if investigators discover a reason for Heather Aby’s suicide.
The section of Old Trace Park where the tragic event occurred was closed the following morning while police conducted their investigation. There appears to be no evidence of foul play in Heather’s death, according to the preliminary investigation. But the final reports haven’t been released yet.

You were one of the kindest people I’ve ever met the and way that you embraced everyone like family is something that I always admired. I will always cherish every memories we had together. All the baseball games, trips, dinners, weddings, and parties we had. To one of my best friends Trey Aby I love you man and I pray god wraps his arms around you and your family during this time. Heather meant so much to so many of us. My entire family adored her especially my boys.  she will be truly missed.
