Rest in peace Dean Holland. πŸ˜“
I feel sick knowing we have lost another fellow rider. 34 years old. So much more of life to do. Crying tears for a jockey I never knew, but who knew so many of the same people.

I feel sick for your loved ones, who now have to face the world without you, in such a split second moment where a horse made the wrong decision.

So many people just don’t realise the real risks jockeys face every single day of their working life, going out and climbing aboard these animals who have a mind of their own.
To come back home to family after a working day is done is a given for most.
In a jockeys life, sometimes you end up in the back of an ambulance broken in pieces.
Or worse. Like today.

The unspeakable. The unbearable. Losing a life so young. πŸ˜“ a jock who was out their to do his job.
Dean you will always be remembered.
What a dark day for Australian racing.
