Jameela Jamil is an English actress, model, writer, activist, radio host, and television presenter.

Jameela Jamil was born on 25 February 1986 in Hampstead London to an Indian father and a Pakistani mother. Her ethnicity is Indian-Pakistani.

Jameela Jamil began her career as a host of a pop-culture series on Channel T4. She was the host of BBC One’s The Official Chart at the time.

She also co-hosted The Official Chart Update Show on BBC Radio 1 with Scott Mills. Jamil moved to the United States in 2016.

She is best known for her role as Tahani Al-Jamil in A Good Place, an NBC fantasy comedy series. She is also well known for hosting the TBS late-night game show The Misery Index and serving as a judge on the voguing reality competition show Legendary.
