Devon Hoover, a well-liked neurosurgeon in Detroit, was found dead on April 23. His passing shocked the neighborhood.

Detroit Police are looking into the 53-year-old neurosurgeon’s mysterious death in the Boston Edison Historic District.

The Boston Edison District in Detroit is in disbelief following Devon’s passing. He spent many years as a neurosurgeon at the Ascension Hospital in the city.

According to local ABC Channel 7, Detroit police discovered Hoover dead on Sunday while conducting a well-being inspection at a house close to Woodward Avenue. As of right now, no cause of death has been identified.

Hoover’s loved ones are grieving his tragic passing, and many of them have turned to social media to post heartfelt remembrances.

In a moving Facebook message, one of his coworkers from Ascension wrote: “Rest in peace beautiful and loving person. You’ll always be missed. Working with you in the operating room, you showed me how to love neurosurgery. Your tolerance was unsurpassed.

Prayers for your family and everyone who knew you, it continued. We are heartbroken that we misplaced you! May those who were affected by your presence always remember you and your love for surgery.

Another obituary stated that “MDr. Hoover was an amazing neurosurgeon through Ascension St. John Hospital where he spent countless years giving his great skills to many patients.”
