Franklin Saint (Damson Idris, far right with Angela Lewis) has become a wealthy man selling crack on FX’s “Snowfall.” Ray Mickshaw/FX Franklin Saint (Damson Idris) thought he had it made. A product of the rough streets of South Central LA, he carved out a niche for himself by becoming a drug dealer.
As his business venture in the coke game expanded, Franklin acquired a place in the Hills where he stashed his money and his secret documents. During that time, Andre was hot on his trail. Franklin even resorted to making deals and doing business with Manboy of the Crips and Skully of the Bloods.

He solidified his foothold as LA’s notorious kingpin after he forced Ray-Ray at gunpoint to kill Lenny as payback for nearly killing Leon. After Avi was busted by the LAPD, Franklin was kidnapped along with Leon, who was also arrested the day of the bust, by Teddy McDonald and interrogated for any information as to why they were at Avi’s.
How does Franklin’s decision affect Melody?
Franklin definitely believes his decision will affect his relationship with Melody, because he just killed her dad. It’s going to affect his relationship with law enforcement, more specifically Sgt. Nixon (Jesse Luken), who was Andre’s righthand man. More importantly it’s going to affect Franklin’s psyche. He’s definitely crossed a line.

As the most recent episode of the show revealed, however, Franklin’s fortunes have turned. He shot and killed a cop — his next-door neighbor and former father figure Andre Wright (Marcus Henderson) — when Wright obtained a file linking Andre to a drug-smuggling operation run by the CIA. Franklin also bears responsibility for the recent crack addiction of Wright’s daughter Melody (Reign Edwards), the harrowing result of Franklin filling his community with drugs. The British-born Idris, 27, spoke to The Post from London, where he was on vacation from filming the movie “Outside the Wire,” which stars Anthony Mackie as a drone pilot tasked with locating a doomsday device in a demilitarized zone.
