Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson, also known professionally as H.E.R. (pronounced “her,” an abbreviation for “Having Everything Revealed”), was born in the United States on June 27, 1997.

She has been nominated for four Billboard Music Awards, three American Music Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and five Grammy Awards in addition to winning an Academy Award, a Children’s and Family Emmy Award, and five Grammy Awards.

Why is H.E.R. H.E.R. name?

She goes by Gabi or her stage name, H.E.R., despite being Gabriella Wilson. Its ironic title, Having Everything Exposed, is for someone who would like to stay anonymous. We’ll let her explain, though.

“Music is a medium for me to express who I am, my tales, and my feelings. But my music and my message make it all clear. It’s—really, you get to know who I am through my music, even if I don’t reveal my face and I don’t tell people who I am or more about myself,” she said in a radio interview.
