Insatiable actress Alyssa Milano confirmed Insatiable ‘s cancelation on social media, and the most likely explanation for Netflix’s decision is that the viewing figures simply didn’t support renewing it for season 3.
New seasons of Netflix shows are generally released with minimal promotion and tend to sink or swim largely based on word of mouth. Even allowing for the impact of the controversy, reviews of Insatiable season 1 were terrible. Insatiable season 2 came and went last year with virtually no buzz, either good or bad.

Not only has New Amsterdam been renewed for Season 4, but the show has also been confirmed for Season 5. … This means that the show will be airing until at least spring 2023.
According to Netflix, the show will end because it has reached the natural conclusion of its narrative arc. Season four “will feature the core cast’s graduation from High School,” which will be a “natural conclusion to the show.”
There’s a lot to hate about Insatiable, but there’s a lot to like, too. This weird, campy, bizarre romp into the bible belt has heart. And at the end of the day, the show tries, and often succeeds, in saying the right thing. So, no, it’s not really that bad .
