Wilbur Myers Jr., son of shipping supervisors Theodore Myers and Renee Myers and a Sanderson Farms Inc. employee, graduated from university with pride and satisfaction. His life was tragically cut short, leaving his loved ones and friends saddened.

Wilbur Myers Jr. was not only a recent graduate, but also a great individual. Friends recall him inspiring people to strive for excellence and encouraging them to be their best selves. Dominique Harris paid tribute to his dear friend on Facebook, reminiscing about the good times they shared.

In his touching message, Harris said goodbye to “a real one,” recalling Wilbur Myers Jr.’s easygoing nature, always “cuttin up” and never taking life too seriously.

Wilbur’s departure has left a vacuum in the hearts of his family and friends, particularly his mother, Renee Myers, a G.W. Carver Elementary School staff member. The entire town has been devastated by her beloved son’s death.
