Rob Thomson, also known as “Rob Rage,” a Canadian independent wrestler, tragically passed away at the age of 41 on November 4th due to cardiac arrest. This unfortunate incident occurred backstage at a wrestling event in Hamilton, Ontario. Thomson had just finished competing at a fundraising show when he returned to the dressing room and went into cardiac arrest.

Witnesses revealed that some fellow wrestlers immediately initiated CPR until medical personnel arrived on the scene. Despite the valiant efforts of his colleagues and medical responders, Thomson did not survive the cardiac arrest.

Rob Thomson had been an active part of the Ontario independent wrestling scene since 2012. He had wrestled in various promotions across Canada, establishing himself as a well-known figure in the industry. Notably, he portrayed Road Warrior Hawk in the cinematic scenes of the Dark Side of the Ring episode dedicated to The Road Warriors, featuring Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk.
