Donald Pippin was a Broadway music director, conductor, arranger, and lyricist who died on June 9, 2022.
Pippin was the last surviving recipient of the Tony Award for Best Conductor and Musical Director, which we received for Oliver! at the 17th Annual Tony Awards. He received a Drama Desk Special Award in 1986. Pippin was Musical Director for 110 in the Shade in 1963, in addition to his work on Oliver!
