GI Joe OMG died on September 20. The Crenshaw, Los Angeles native, well known for his collaborations with Nipsey Hussle and J. Stone, died at the age of 33.

The rapper’s publicist, Rebecca Kinchen, has confirmed his demise, adding that they do not yet know what went wrong with him. “We have no idea what happened. He was found dead and we are awaiting the results of the coroner’s report to learn details,” she said in a statement.

Some online reports suggested that Joe died in a car accident or a shooting, but Rebecca has revealed the reports to be untrue.

Given that, the cause of his death has not been confirmed yet, but investigations about the circumstances are underway. The family has also not revealed plans for his funeral, considering the venue, date, and time.

During Joe’s career, he opened for several big names, including Snoop Dogg, The Game, YG, and Kendrick Lamar. The news of his death has come as a major shock to the hip-hop music industry.
