Mom Find Daughter Madison Gesswein Dead
On Wednesday, 11Alive received a 911 call from a mother who had discovered her 15-year-old daughter deceased in their Peachtree City apartment, providing additional information about the girl’s passing.
Early on February 21st, Madison Gesswein, 15, calls 911 and tells the operator that she discovered her daughter “bleeding from the head” while she was lying on her bed.
In the call, Gesswein’s mother claims that as she was getting ready for work, she observed that her daughter’s bedroom light was on but that the door was locked. She claimed that when she walked in, the curtains were “a mess” and the window was wide open.
She responds that she couldn’t tell if her daughter was breathing when the dispatcher questions if she could tell if her daughter was breathing. The mother of Gesswein attempts to call.
The dispatcher gives Gesswein’s mother the go-ahead to attempt to position the teen so that she can conduct CPR. When the dispatcher questions if anyone else is home, Finch responds that her son is present but sound asleep. While they waited for police, the dispatcher started instructing her in CPR at that point.
The operator counts out the heartbeats as Gesswein’s mother begins compressions, and it takes nearly five minutes before medical help arrives. then the conversation is over.
Three 18-year-old suspects were taken into custody and accused of murder by Peachtree City officers on Wednesday. They are all allegedly Gesswein’s “colleagues.”
The medical examiner has not yet provided the department with a final cause of death, but “a head injury to Madison appears to have occurred,” the agency stated.
