Sergio Diaz of Santa Ana Tragically Killed in Hit-and-Run Incident, Driver Remains at Large

In a somber turn of events, Santa Ana police are in pursuit of a hit-and-run driver responsible for the untimely death of a pedestrian on Sunday night.

The incident unfolded just past 10 p.m. on Sunday, with multiple reports flooding the police department about a collision transpiring at the junction of Warner Avenue and Brookhollow Drive. Tragically, the pedestrian involved in this heartbreaking incident, 32-year-old Sergio Diaz from Santa Ana, was pronounced deceased at the scene, as confirmed by Santa Ana police Officer Natalie Garcia.

As per police reports, Sergio Diaz was crossing Warner Avenue to the east of Brookhollow Drive when an eastbound driver struck him before hastily fleeing the scene.

This unfortunate incident occurred while Diaz was either en route to work or making his way back home, as revealed by Officer Natalie Garcia.

While the collision did have witnesses, police have not disclosed any information regarding the make or model of the suspect’s vehicle.
